ABLE'N is a public- and private-sector human
resources management consulting firm that brings, through
its associates, over 350 years of professional, technical,
or legal experiences in the relevant areas of equal employment
opportunity, affirmative action, workforce diversity, disability
awareness and sensitivity, sexual harassment, or correcting
barriers to previously disadvantaged groups in employment
or advancement, and successfully withstanding challenges in
state and federal courts. Kitty Clark Stevenson, President
of ABLE'N, started the company in 1981 bringing tailored human
resources management approaches to an employer's vision for
enabling superior performance among a qualified, diverse workforce
where all can do their best work, and began her affiliation
with the USDA Graduate School as an Associate Faculty member.

Kitty Clark Stevenson has developed
and conducted training seminars on topics relative to
several areas of Human Resources Management. Ms. Stevenson
began a professional Federal career in the field of Equal
Employment Opportunity in 1972. |
In 1981, she started a consulting firm where she planned,
developed, and conducted training seminars for managers
and supervisors on employment and placement policies,
including sexual harassment and affirmative action plan
development. |
Ms. Stevenson is a certified WINDMILLS
trainer, and has trained persons with disabilities, employees
and personnelists, in the public and private sectors, on disability
awareness and sensitivity issues. She served Arlington County,
Virginia Government for fifteen years as the Selective Placement
Program Manager in the Department of Personnel responsible
for the development and implementation of the organization's
employment program for persons with disabilities. Ms. Stevenson
served as the Senior Executive Vice President of American
Building Services Corporation (the company is no longer operational),
a community-based 501(c)(3) tax exempt, nonprofit organization
specializing in training and employment programs for persons
with disabilities.
Finally, she is the President of ABLE'N Consulting, LLC,
a human resources consulting firm specializing in human resources
management and training on disability awareness and sensitivity,
equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and workforce
diversity for public and private sector employers. Ms. Stevenson
is a certified trainer for TEACHING SKILLS AND CULTURAL COMPETENCY
with the National Multicultural Institute, and has trained
in public and private sector organizations on workforce diversity
and multiculturalism. As a certified mediator from the Center
for Dispute Settlement, Ms. Stevenson provides alternative
dispute mediation services.
